This was a busy week so at the beginning of the week I handed each of my children a different cookbook and told them to pick a recipe and I would shop for it and make it. Brilliant idea, not only because I didn’t have to look thru all the books and try to figure out what they would all like, but by picking it there is a much higher chance they will eat it! This was my daughter’s pick. It is super easy to make and everyone liked it! I only had to go shopping for the meat everything else I had or substituted for.

The only substitutions I made was instead of beef bouillon I used a package of beefy onion dried soup mix, and instead of pepper corns I just used coarse ground pepper.
The house smelled great all day as it was cooking, and there was enough for leftovers the next day, always a plus in a house with a teenage boy.
